Gamer wanna be

k, i'll try to describe what i'm looking to do in the most understandable fashion i can manage. in many games there are screens (mostly map screens) where the user moves the mouse to the screen edge, and the map scrolls that way. 2 questions. #1. how does one get such a map, for instance, on a screen and #2. how does one get the mouse to scroll the screen across it. would 'love' to answer these questions if possible. thanks roderus
