Finding a files pysical path
Mar 5 2004 12:04 PM
I'm building a simple crawler to grab content out of a site hosted locally, the basic premise is to load the html file through WebRequest grab the content and save it our as XML in the 'same' or 'exact copy' of the directory thus maintaining the site structure. the question is 'How to i find the html file full physical path?' to save the the xml file. this is the code i'm using so far public void btnSubmit_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { strURL = txtURL.Text; strTagBegining = txtBegining.Text; strTagEnd = txtEnd.Text; string physicalPath = Page.MapPath(strURL); Response.Write(physicalPath); ScreenScrapePage.Page myPage = new ScreenScrapePage.Page(); //myPage.scrape(strURL, physicalPath); } this only returns the path to my app root, not the file in question help very welcome si
