filter the column value has more than 10000 items rest api

Question

hi all, 

_spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl + "/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('ListName')/items?$top=5000&$filter= ColumnName eq 'abc'". Here ColumnName is indexed. And there are more than 10,000 records having value "abc" in ColumnName. I am getting the error - "The attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold enforced by the administrator."

 

how to over come this error, and i need the column to be filtered even it has more than 10,000 or above list items in sharepoint online
