fast retrieval technique for large CBIR system

hi friends ...
  am doin a project on image retrieval where i retrieve images specifying color ,height and width of the image.when i select an image i get the most suitable in next case,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

what should be done more to bring this project to  next level................any suggestions ???????please help me out ......
