Exposed Business calculation and Logic to client

I saw one of web application where tons of java script files available and most them having good amount of business logic and important stuff written that supposed to go in server side code. As per my experience the use of java script is only to deal with the UI not to deal with business of application.

Correct me if I am wrong.
