Error with OracleClient

Hello everyone. I´m having this problem. I connect with System.Data.OracleClient.OracleConnection to an Oracle 9.0.2 Db. Sometime the machint where the db is located craches and the query performed in that moment is hanged forever. Is there a way to work around this situation? Thanks
