Drag & Drop functionality in Sharepoint

Question

I am trying to find out if its possible to use drag & drop functionality within sharepoint page using API or object reference model using c# code not by using any third party control.
So for eg if I want to drag files or folders between web parts controls inside the page or drop it on sharepoint tree view control.
Please let me know or advice me how to approch I would prefer if you can show me sample code.
