DirectShow source filter

Hi all, I Wanted to write a directShow source filter for particular format, I am not sure how can I associate my file(mime type) with this source filter, so that when filter graph manager can recognige which source filter to load for a particular file type. Can someone help me on this subject? Thanks AK
