You can't compare them. Static methods allows you to access method without creating an instance of a class where your static method resides. Constructor is where you initialize code that makes up your class implementation ~normall these codes are objects being initialized. When you create an instance of a class, any object being initialized within the class constructor will be invoked. Google each term to get more information about them.

Static Methods or Non static Method is used for defining the business logic on static variable or non static variable, both have different responsiblilties.

Static Constructor or non static Constructor is used for initialising static variable or non static(Instance) variables, static Constructor initialises when the class is loading, non static Constructor initialises while creating the object by using new Class();

Hi Asharaf, Static method we need to call using class name while default constructor will call automatically while class instance created. Inside static method you can only access static member but in constructor you can access non-static members also. If you want to check on difference between Static Constructor and Constructor I have tried some of difference as below Static Constructor and Constructor 1) Initialization Static constructor used to initialized only static member while normal contructor you can initialized non static member 2) Access modifier we can not use any access modifier in static constructor but we can use access modifier in constructor. 3) Execution order. Static constructor execute first among all constructor 4) Parameter we can not pass any parameter in static constructor but we can pass paramter in constructor 5) overlaoding not possible in static constructor but it is possible in normal constructor Above all things you can try with both constructor and put debugger in both constructor you will come to know easily

I am afraid it's towards apple to orange comparison. A Constructor no need to call as it will execute during object creation automatically. Static method you still need to call using class name. Also to mention a static constructor too, which is different.
