Difference between Equal and LIKE in T-SQL

Question

I have the following query : 

 

SELECT * FROM Employee
WHERE FullName LIKE '%James Martin%'

and :

 

SELECT * FROM Employe
WHERE FullName = 'James Martin'

 

I want to know the difference between LIKE and =
