DevTouch Pro - How good?

I did look at the web site and it was not clear to me what it is.


So is it an emulator? Whatever the terminology, I think it would help to make it clear that it is a device for testing applications.

The Devtouch is a device that allows you to develop, test and deploy your WinCE, Linux or Android applications.
You do not install the development environment on the device (although it might be possible with Linux, but not very efficient...), you connect the device to your PC, develop on the PC, then install and run you application(s) on the device.
For developers looking for small scale distribution of custom applications, this is the ideal solution because they can configure the Devtouch the way they want it, then install and distribute their custom application the way they see it fit (no strings attached!).
For developers working on larger scale projects, the Devtouch will allow them to develop and test their application(s) while their final device is being developed and manufactured. So the Devtouch basically replaces the poor development boards that come with tiny screen displays and break very easily.

What IDE does it use? Is it possible to install Visual Studio into it? If VS then I assume we need a separate license for VS for it and that would be expensive.
 
I see nothing in the description of Windows Mobile 7; can it be used to develop for that? Can it be used to develop Windows desktop applications?
 
I don't know if a touch screen would work for doing a lot of development. It would work for minor fixes and for viewing code, but I am concerned that a touch screen would be inconvenient for a lot of development. It could be useful for programmers that are on-call that need to have access to a company's applications for support purposes for emergency fixes and such.

Features seems to be good.
