debuggin a win service

Question

I am assigned to work on a win service that is already installed not running though... I don't have the source code for the service , How would i attach to it and get to debug the service...
If source code is required, how can i get it.. i know decompilation is possible but decompiled code is not the same as source code... Wat are my options... how can i continue with the service
