DataReader and DataSet

Hi..........
I am using ado.net in our application and face a problem in Datareader and Data Set. Define the Datareader? ADO.NET is Disconnected Architecture. DataReader is connected Architecture, but DataReader is a part of ADO.NET. How is it possible?
