Creating a Network Sniffer using C#

Question

Hello All,

 

I have an understanding of C#.

 

I want to learn how to create a network sniffer. I read a couple of forums on this matter and it sounds really cool. I just have no idea on how to create one. I read somewhere you are meant to use SharpPcap or something like that. I want to really understand every line I am writing. if someone could be me a headstart, that would be really cool on where to look for beginner sort of forums for creating network sniffer .
