Could one create a Web service as a proxy for sites with no webservice using this component?

I found a component called the WebRobot ( http://foxtrot-xray.com/main/prod/dev/web_robot ), with a video tutorial that you can check out at: http://foxtrot-xray.com/main/tutorial/webrobot-1-2-tutorial-1-checking-flight-availability-on-aa.com Now, how wise would it be to create a web service that used this component, as a proxy for sites like aa.com and publish it to the world?
