Copy data from source table to target table

Way 1:

Syntax:

INSERT INTO table2

(column_name(s))

SELECT column_name(s)

FROM table1;

Script:

INSERT INTO Customers (CustomerName, Country)

SELECT SupplierName, Country FROM Suppliers;

way 2:

Syntax:

SELECT column_name(s)

INTO newtable [IN externaldb]

FROM table1;

script:

SELECT CustomerName, ContactName

INTO CustomersBackup2013

FROM Customers;

I want to copy old data from source table to target table. Target table also contains some data. Both the tables are in different databases.

Also I don't want to change Id of rows of source table.

select id,prouct,rate from targettable tt RIGHT JOIN sourcetable st on tt.id<> st.id
