Compress large audio file to transfer through asmx service

Hi,

 

I am using program to transfer the audio files from one location to another system using asmx web service which is in internet web server.

 

But for sending the audio file and downloading audio files more than 60 MB is taking too long time. Is there any way to optimize sending audio file using wsdl web service. or is there any compression we can use to send the audio file....
