Coding to analyse and validate data

Question

Hi, I have a issue which I am.trying to solve. So I received files through FTP client and have managed to develop code to extract the files from client server into local location. Part of the extraction process I would like to generate a response. Prior to the response i need to analyse the data based on some conditions. Any advice on how to go about doing the validation process. Thanks
