clear session on leaving page confirmation alert message mvc

Question

Hi Guys i need help i am struck in one scenario where if one user edit anything on page i store the value in session . and display on jquery datatable. i want to clear that session value when user navigate to current page to another page . how to write ajaxcall when user click "Leave" button. Please help.

hi I think whe you do not want to save the data and return another action call the alert message .Bellow is the code to calling the javascrict alert a onclick = "Alertmessage()" href ="@Url.Action("Index", "Home ")" > Leave a > @section scripts { script type = "text/javascript" > function Alertmessage() { alert('Changes you made may not vased'); } script > }

Hi laxmidhar, Thanx For reply. Please find the screen shot this event is fired on onbeforeunload click jquery .i want to write ajax call on leave button . or else after this event on jquery function call which is execute the ajax function.
