Challenges for Retrieving of SharePoint Documents??

Question

Hi All,

I am using a WEB API code to upload a document into a SharePoint document library meantime am updating metadata columns and returning responses via JSON format that part is well and good.

while uploading a document am creating a folder structure with input parameters like the folder and document structure is as like below

Library Name/Parent Folder/Child Folder/Document.

even some more child/nested folder under parent folders.

My Manager Requested me to Check is there any challenges in future we may get problems while searching the documents. the conversation is as below.

I shared record storing we can store 3 crore records in SharePoint libraries or list.

Hi Ravi,

 

There are few best practices we have to follow based on the content, volume and rate of growth for those contents. If you are planning for SharePoint 2016 then there are some new features available for list and libraries for improving performance.
