Career move as Sharepoint 2010 developer

Question

I am currently working on Support Projects that runs on Sharepoint 2010 and ASP.Net. I have 1.7 year experience and i want to make a career move as developer in sharepoint . please guide me on what will be the market expectations in proportion to my experience to move as a developer. your help will be greatly appriciated
