Career Advice

Hi,

Presently i am working with .Net technologies like C#,VB.Net and ASP.Net 3.5 only.

Now i want to improve my skills with new technologies like Asp.net MVC, AngularJs, Jquery and Ajax..etc.

So now move with new .net technologies or learn any other Database knowledge(like Oracle DBA,Oracle Apps,SAP) and move to Database side?

Which is better the growth in career, My friends(who are working with database) are suggesting that there no growth with .net when compare to Database side.

Please suggest me.
