can i separate .edmx file and .designer.cs files

Question

hi ,

i have one requirement

i created the edmx file form the existing database it automatically create .designer.cs file , but i don't want to use that designer.cs file, i want to map my own .designer.cs file which is getting from another assembly to the current .edmx file is it possible , if possible can you give me any suggestions
