C# Beginner seeking a C# Tutor/Mentor

Hello C# people,

This is not a question im stuck on or some specific problem of C#. I'm in the professional world of application developing here in London, UK and have a non-computing/computer science background from my university. I studied electronics engineering at university in London and have had limited exposure to C# developing and im currently undertaking in it at my workplace. Therefore i would like an informal tutor/mentor that can mentor me in the medium term (weeks/months) and develop me in the C# and object-orientated programming discipline (GUI's, DLL's etc), also introducing and developing other C# related matters such as ASP.NET - website design/code. Some may ask about me requesting training from work and go through work for training but i would like to learn also on a personal level and if i were to have an online tutor/mentor it would make the learning more personal, more fun and more effective i believe, and more longer lasting. Also i feel if i were to go university and undertake in a computing course i wouldn't get the professional coding practices that are required in the industry. Therefore i would appreciate the following:

  • A professional C# developer with some considerable years in the language and software development industry
  • Someone willing to spend a few hours a week giving me coding exercises/projects and review my code
  • Some friendly approachable, patient and willing to help someone out for the sake of helping and developing someone
  • Even though i don't want to make this money-orientated i am willing to compensate someone £100 GBP per month for their time (subject to increase later on perhaps)

Please reply if you are interested in helping me out and if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Hassan.
