RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be working with a small, technologically advanced team responsible for developing real-time multi-tiered applications used to trade commodities. This position will be responsible for building the client facing front-end while working with the middle-tier team to communicate data between the UI and the middle tier.
REQUIRED SKILLS
· Strong technical background in C# including a firm understand of the .Net Framework, Metadata concepts, threading, garbage collection, Windows API and WinForms
· Strong OO programming skills are required including knowledge and experience with object-oriented design principles and design patterns
· Experience working with XML, XML Schema and XML data transfer
· Experience with n-tiered applications
· Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills
· Ability to work independently and as a team member
· Real world experience developing highly efficient, multi-threaded C# WinForms7 applications
· Able to work with the users to design the GUI and then develop the application to conform to these design requirements
· Positive attitude
· Drive to be abreast of current technology and a commitment to the quality of the software
DESIRED SKILLS
· Experience with Clear Case, AQTime and Developer Express components a big plus
· Experience with HTTP and Tibco communication protocols
· Experience with developing real-time applications
· Understanding of UML notations
· Background in energy trading
