C# and .NET framework

Question

Hi Folks: I come from the so called bright side (Java and Sun) :). I recently started reading a lot about C#. I understand C# as a language. However, I wanted to get more information about .NET framework and how it relates to C#. Can someone please provide me with pointers to understand .NET framework. Thanks Gunjan
