Best (Win) platform for Android development with C# in 2019?

Hello,

I'm an experienced .NET developer (backend mostly), but I have no idea about current mobile development.

I would like to develop Android applications with C# (in my Windows OS).

What are my options? Is there a standard currently in developing Android apps with C#?
