Auto detect Drives

Question

how to get all drives in a PC. and types of every drive and free-space of each


i.e. System-Drive, CD-Drive, DVD-Drive, Removable, ... etc.


If a system is attached with a new drive may be a pen drive or external hard disc.How to detect them at time of attachment ?


And i wanna to show them like gadget in win xp as we see them in the win 7 with the right click option to eject the removeable media And also i wanna to apply skin option with it.......Plz give me the solution

HOw to do that can any one give the coding for that guys because i couldn't get it............And i waana to use it like gadget which should be auto start with the start of windows after install it once....if any one is understanding it please help me for this.......And @Krishna the given link is very good for know how to get the information of drives not to use for auto detect all the using drives and show them on desktop as a Gadget.......

you can make a windows services for showing info or others things at the time of attachment of external drive..
