asp with vb and javascript

Question

hi,

in my 2nd web page is having update button , if i do update in that page the details from that page is carried to the next page where there is a save button.

in case i dont update that 2nd page, old details are carried forward that is stored in cache or cookies. hence its capturing wrong result carried to the next page.

how can i  prevent to refresh the screen before the user proceeds to the next page automatically. or can code to clear the cookies ?

please suggest with an example code.

i am using asp with vb an javascript.its not a .net

your help willl be much apppreciated. thanks in advance
