ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core?

Hello everyone. I am novice at C# web development. I have experience with creating desktop apps and now I want to make some web app. So, I'm confused what to learn: ASP.NET or ASP.NET Core? Where I should begin my learning? And what are some useful resources? Thanks in advance.
