ASP.net mvc or ASP.net core

Question

Asp.Net Core MVC for beginners - Step bI have enough skills in C#, Also I created some Desktop Application. I have enough skills in SQL Server. I prepared book for students. I have skills about Entity Framework Code first Model. So that I have question. I want to be asp.net developer but I don't know where and which version to be chosen, ASP.Net MVC or ASP.Net Core Should I have skills in ASP.Net MVC then starting ASP.Net core or I can start learning ASP.Net core.
