ASP.NET & C# -- beginner

Question

Hello All,

I am pretty much a beginner programmer in C# and never have programmed in ASP.NET. I am on project to create a new application where I will be designing and programming the user interface with these technologies, with a SQL backend. I know the SQL pretty well but the rest is a new journey for me. I have had success in writing C# console apps and writing the results to SQL.

Now for the unknown, coding an ASP.NET application that will display reports, allow users to complete updates and add records (to the database) and display records based on filters.

Any suggestions on a great beginners quide (books or articles) to help with getting a start on this?
