ASP.NET 2.0 CORE Future

Hi All, I am having 10+ years experience in .net technology, Would like know the future of ASP.NET Core and how the opportunities down the line in India? Please suggest me.

Hi, The .Net Core, or ASP.Net Core, is a new offering in dot net technology by MS. if you want to know about the future, then first we have to look at the past. do you know what happened in the past when MS launched new technologies? It was first ASP (classic ASP), then MS laucnhed ASP.Net (web forms) which was a type of "revolution", after having some releases of it and millions of developers learning it, MS realized the need for some thing else, hence came ASP.Net MVC, we can say both of them were successful,mostly the new ones completely eclipsing the old ones. IT software Industry has always kept pace in adopting new technology. Millions of developers learn these technologies as they are launched, and after a couple of years you find job requirements mentioning only the new technologies, no takers for old ones. so I advice you to focus on your own future instead of focusing on future of technology. what do you think will be the effort required by you to learn .Net Core if you already know .Net? is it too much asking for that effort, if you dont put in that effort then you are risking to become obsolete.
