Thank you Sohail for the reply.
I installed VS2015 professional on my system. However, it says i need to install Xamarin to use the mobileApp development feature. Now when i try to install Xamarin in am guided to install a Jdk and an Android SDK. Are these not not directly in-build in VS2015?

Hi Sanju.
If you are beginner and want to learn android development in Visual Studio, Xamarin.Andorid have full support available in Visual Studio. Xamarin.Android licence is free available for students https://www.dreamspark.com/Product/Product.aspx?productid=100
It is a great experience and will take no time to switch from android(java) to Xamarin.Android(C#)

Thank you for the answer.
Could you also tell me about the alternatives available and which one is good in what terms. I am a beginner so do not know much about the field.
Your inputs will be of great value to me.
