appointment book

I would like to know what is the best way to display an appointment book where empty rows can easily be filled in. I am using a mysql database and reading the data into a datatable and can easily display the data in a datagrid. However this doesn't seem like the best approach to take. Is there anything like a flexgrid in c#.
