Anyone notice DirectX 9.0b and Many Video Boards is simply not working as of Sept 30?

Self explanatory as to DirectX 9.0B. We're finding most VIA based systems and some SIS based systems (and older Intel) that try and implement 400 MHz and 333 MHz bus speeds, and AGP8x or on the older systems, have sensitive bus timing, will NOT recognize as possessing a 3D Hardware Accelerated Display device, requiring reducing the Hardware Acceleration three notches (in Windows XP it's at Advanced Settings.Troubleshooting) to turn off Directx altogether. It appears to be sensitivity, on the VIA systems, to the current online 4-in-one pack. It does not appear per se to be a function of the NVidia drivers we tested. If you leave it running instead, Media Player fails at the point of video playback. If you turn it off, no Hardware 3D acceleration is present, and any Games and other apps totally dependent upon it's presence will not run. A catch 22. Does anyone know if VIA or whomever is planning on fixing this minor problem? I note that Intel 845 AGP 4x, Intel 865 based AGP 8x systems with 400MHz dc DDR, do not appear to exhibit any problem, which makes one wonder if somehow Microsoft released 9.0b without advising VIA that it needed to update it's 4-in-1 drivers? Be well, Comp America
