any API to make flash file conversion?

I have a further question, for Youtube, does it convert all videos to Flash or keep its original format?

Try to do your task using Silverlight, it is perfect for such case and save yourself from the headache of converting and looking for API those deal with flash

Just surprised why there is no such convertion tool. I think Adobe Flash Media Player should be able to play a lot of video file formats besides flash format, correct?

The reason why I want to convert to flash format is because I see Youtube is using Adobe Flash Media Player, so I think all videos are converted to Flash by Youtube?

Yes, absolutly, especially when one has special needs, and then you can either deploy it on the net for free or you can sell it if someone meet the same need

I read the 4 links. But all of them have issues, here are the issues I found to each of them. Any comments or new ideas? :-)

1. not free, no source code to learn;

2. no recommended solutions to my problem;

3. Only PDF/PPT to flash, no video to flash;

4. Only perform PPT to Flash, no video to flash conversion supported.

I think the most requestion conversion request are from ppt to flash and from pdf  to flash

You have not need to install external API, if you have already flash installed within your machine then make use of the FlashWindowEx
