Another Newbie on web services

Question

Hello guys/gals, I am an Msc conversion student from Economics to business information technology. Web services featured in one of the unit i was taught in school and i find it so intersting that i am decided to base my thesis on web services (An online ordering restuarant). Unfortunately i have no programming background but my supervisor said it will be easy for me to use C# and so learn from scratch. I personally would love to learn something new as it will be to my advantage but i dont know if i am letting myself into a big work. Pls guys could you advice me on how and what technologies will be much easier to use? I understand now that i need to design an HTML web page connected to a data base by web service. Pls your opinions and advice is needed. Thanks Shade
