animation capture

how do i capture an animation to use as a jpeg in a document, when i do printscreen the background image always appears with no animation, i have a program that changes a line to another colour when a button is clicked, however the orig line colour is the what is shown when i paste from the print screen clip board. any ideas anyone pls luigi
