Adding a computer to a domain
Jul 13 2011 10:21 AM
Hi everybody!
I'm quite new in managing Active Directory.. So, i have a Microsoft Server 2008 on my WMware virtual machine. Also
i have a domain "confire.com" and a domain controller on it. The problem is that i can't join this domain from my real machine
which has a Windows 7 operating system.
The network and the ip i suppose are correctly configured because i can ping both virtual machine and real machine from each other.
I have a trouble while joining a real computer to a domain (confire.com):
The request
was for the
SRV record
_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.confire.com
The
following domain controllers
were identified by
the query:
win2008r2test.confire.com
However, any
domain controller
could not be contacted
.
Probable reasons
of this error are
:
Host (A) records that map the name of the domain controller to its IP addresses are missing or contain incorrect addresses.
Domain controllers registered in DNS are not connected to the network or are not running.
And i'm always getting this error.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks a lot
