A big arrow for "Our recommended articles"

This is a suggestion that might not be practical and so perhaps this should be posted in the jokes forum.

I think it would help to make a new feature of forum posts that enables us to put a special link in a reply that says "here" or something like that and when the reply is posted and someone clicks on the link, a line is drawn from the button to the "Our recommended articles" box with an arrow at the end of the line, pointing to the box. So in other words it would be a way to communicate the idea of looking at the recommended articles.

Well, I suppose that would not work in the email notifications of a reply to a thread.

I apologize if this is unclear to some people but I hope that the members familiar with the way things work here understand what I am trying to say.

So if you post a new question, our recommended forums are being populated in the right side bar. We can just populate them as a popup. I will think about a better way to display them.

I think Dipal's suggestion is what many other forums do, such as the MSDN forums.

Yes, I know that an email message is sent after the question is posted. I was not sure but I did realize that the email might contain the same list of recommendations.

When answering questions, we often suggest that the person look at the recommendations. Hopefully the person has already found the answer by looking at the recommendations in the email message. If they do then they seldom (I think never) say so but it would help for them to be able to get the recommendations before submitting the question.

Ideally, what we want to do is to prevent people from asking questions which can be answered simply by looking at our recommended articles.

I thought that Dipal's suggestion therefore made a lot of sense.

I don't know if you guys know but when a question is posted, Our Recommended Articles go in the email to that user :). I am still open to discussions. What about posting Our Recommended Articles just below the question in the questions thread with different format so there is no way a user can miss it.

There are two things here.

1. After posting a question in forum, it should show something like "we advice you to see our recommended articles in the forum thread view for emergency. More over our forum members will assist you to get the answer for your questions"
2. After some period of time, the forum posters will think about search functionality. After posting forum when i can get something from the recommended articles why can't search in C# corner. (not for all kind of questions. Ex. debugging code)

It should be incredibly useful :) One approach to consider - to display the recommended articles within pop-up (or provide as step-2) while posting a question in the forum..
