Your Question May Act As A Deciding Factor

The interviews are often mistaken as something that is all about us, the ones who want a job.

Whereas, the reality is, an employer is looking for a candidate who can play a vital role in the growth and development of its organization.

Job openings do help us achieve our goals but the fact remains that it is not actually entirely about us – the job applicants.

We simply ignore to look at the interviewers point of view. The recruiter is looking for someone who can contribute in the respective department or the concerned area and in turn help the organization flourish.

Thus it is of outmost importance that we convey a clear message that we have the dedication and the talent, (and the experience), that will be of extreme use to the future employer.

But how do you convey this message and when?

Near to the end of the interview the recruiter asks you one last vital question “do you want to ask us something?” Don't shy away at this moment. Rather use it to impress your recruiter.

Chairman and Founder of TheLadders (the largest jobs website) Marc Cenedella, has compiled a great list of questions that will help you nail the question.

Possible Question No.1

“If I am hired, apart from performing greatly in my role and duties, how else can I contribute in the success of this organization?”

Possible Question No.2

If you get the job then what are the ways that will help you become the best performer in your respective department or in your concerned area?

Possible Question No.3

What will be the key accomplishments / milestones that the future employer would like to see conquered as far as you are concerned over the next year or the tentative period of time, if you get the job?

Possible Question No.4

“How do I ensure that I am making the most or topping the results in the regular and the periodic process of the performance review?”

Possible Question No.5

“If I am hired, what will be your expectations from me? How do I approach the same and perform so as to exceed your expectations?”

Possible Question No.6

You may ask your interviewer how to fare greatly in the performance review if you get the job?

Possible Question No.7

You may ask your interviewer about the tools that you would need to enter the list of successful people here in this organization if you get the chance to work here and get this job?

No matter how greatly you have performed in your interview you cannot afford to assume anything till not the results are out officially.  So availing every given prospect is the best idea.

An interview session can be very grueling and exhausting but at the end when the recruiter gives you the opportunity, make use of it to the fullest.
