Windows Phone 7 puts the web in your pocket,
the one great feature is background page loading (allowing you to load several
pages at a time) making it easy to find, view, and act on web content. It has
some great user mobile functionality, but there are also some security-oriented
design features that are very useful. Users can access Internet Explorer Mobile
on the Start screen, in the App list, or when they tap a hyperlink from anywhere
on the phone, which launches the browser and displays the selected page.
One nod to mobile user enhancements is the
Windows Phone 7 on-screen keyboard. It includes a dedicated “.com” key—so users
don't need to type as many characters when entering URLs.
The main features of Internet Explorer Mobile
are:
- Smart Address Bar
- Bing™ Search
- Multitouch zoom
- landscape view
- A web-ready on-screen keyboard
- Tabbed browsing
- Favorites and history
- Option to delete browsing history
- Automatic recognition of street addresses
on webpages
- Phone numbers on webpages
- Email addresses on webpages
