Yes you guessed it. Most of the time when you configure sharepoint doesn't show any results but for authenicated users it works like a charm.
In this blog, I talk about the various steps to be taken for Anonmyous user search in SharePoint 2010.
- Enable Anonymous Access on the entire site
- Check “Always index all parts of this web site" under 'Search and Offline Availability' for the site pages.
- Create a new basic search center and enable anonymous access too.
- Go to site actions->site settings-> search settings to use the custom search center .
- Do a full crawl
