This week I began my adventure creating a pocket pc app for use on a popular loan site. I began to realize that I absolutely cannot wait until Mobile 6 comes out with .NET compact 2.0 in embedded ROM. The .NET compact framework 1.0 is severly limited. Even using popular components such as OpenNETCF.org to extend the compact framework comes with its set of issues (like a message on my pocket pc saying, the OpenNetCF.dll is not a trusted component, would you like to continue running?)

How come there is no DateTimePicker control for the .net 1.0 framework? (I resorted to creating 2 text boxes with hour and minute)
why don't the opennetcf controls (1.0) work in the vs.net 2005 designer without parsing errors?
Anyway, I'll try to be patient. In the meantime, my applications will have to look like they should reside in Windows 3.0...
