Naming SharePoint Libraries and Lists in 2013 - Do's & Don'ts

This blog describe Naming SharePoint Libraries and Lists in 2013 .

In SharePoint versions, There are certain naming conventions to be followed while creating a newList or Library. In this blog, we will see do's and don not for naming the SharePoint Library or Lists.  

• Lists/Libraries names cannot contain multiple periods.
• Lists /Libraries names cannot be longer than 50 characters
• Sites names cannot be any of the following:

1.  PRN
2.  AUX
3.  NUL
4.  COM1
5.  COM2
6.  COM3
7.  COM4
8.  COM5
9.  COM6
10. COM7
11. COM8
12. COM9
13. CON
14. LPT1
15.  LPT2
16.  LPT3
17.  LPT4
18.  LPT5
19.  LPT6
20.  LPT7
21.  LPT8Page | V
