Microsoft building its own Phone
The second quarter of year 2012 has been one of the busiest quarters
for software giant Microsoft. There were many announcements this year including
SkyDrive, Windows 8 and Xbox integration.
In May, Microsoft
announced Windows 8 Release Preview and Visual
Studio 2012 RC, two of the major releases of its Windows operating system and
developer tool, Visual Studio. There were many more releases were announced
that was overshadowed by these two releases. This week, Microsoft surprised
everybody by announcing its own tablet called Microsoft
Surface Tablet this week and couple of days ago, Microsoft showcased
the new version of Windows Phone, Windows Phone 8.
So what is next in Microsoft's sleeves?
If Microsoft is successful in the Tablet market, I won't be surprise
if Microsoft announces or may be already working on its own smartphone. I
believe, once Tablet is ready, manufacturing a smartphone is not a major work.
While Nokia is already building new smartphones, Microsoft
may just purchase Nokia. Nokia this year has announced several new smartphones
including Nokia
808 PureView and Lumia 900.
Time will tell but Microsoft is building similar ecosystem
Apple has today.
