In Design Manager, you can easily map network drive in machine to Master Page Gallery. Very Useful feature Isn't?
This always save your precious time. There is no need of download a copy of your master page and make changes and upload back to Galleries.
I will list down the steps to achieve this cool feature below.
- Click on Design Manager in your publishing site.
- Select the third option Upload Design File

- Copy the URL "Office 365"
- Map this URL to network drive that you would like to Map.
Please ensure that feature “Desktop Experience” is activated in Windows Server 2012. In case you are using SharePoint on premises server.
