1. Waterfall model is traditional where Testing comes in last phase while V model represent verification and validation .
2. Waterfall
Model the tester role will take place only in the test phase but in
V-Model role will take place in the requirement phase itself
3. Waterfall
madel is a fixed process u can't make any changes in the requirement or
in any phase.but in V-Model u can make any changes in the requirements
4. Waterfall model used only the requirements are fixed but V-model can be used for the any type of requirement(Uncertain requirement)
5. We can say waterfall model is mostly we use in product based application while for project based application V model is mostly used.
Yes ,V Model is far better than Water Fall Model because there is no flexibility to go revert and only single stage testing that to by programmers in water fall model.
Where as in v model there are reviews in each and every phase such as reviews in analysis, reviews in design etc.
V-Model -
Testing Phase
Unit Low Level Design
Integration High Level Design
System SRS
UAT Business Requirements
In Waterfall model Need All Trascibility matrix before coding that is Time Taking and Complex for all cases , and Not Sure to Track All cases
at once. in V model Each Level Like SRS, Design, Coding and testing as
each Phase happens simultaneously So Defect will Find Out in Each Phase
So, it is Cost Effective.
