Introduction
Hi guys, let's explore a new Modern feature called Space, available on Modern SharePoint Sites. It's mostly better with Communication sites but can also be extended to Team sites too. It has lots of 360-degree Images/Videos that can be included and make the best presentation of your thoughts as per the Business Needs.
Steps
Login to Portal.Office.com >> Go to your Modern Site >> Go to Site Settings >> Manage Features >> Activate Space Feature
Select any of the 4 Structure templates available:
- Sky gallery
- Amphitheater
- Arch
- Terrace

Click + and select a few more options to add it to your new Space.
Collect a few 360-degree Images related to your Modern Space created and store them on your One Drive.
Select it and add them to your Space for a better design!
You can add a few more options, like Text, People, Image, etc.
Select a Space Design for more options, like:
Background choices
Welcome message & ambient sound choices:
Add Space to Navigation >> Email to Others for a quick visit.
Summary
Modern Space is a feature for exploring the best way of doing design on the podium available at your created Space.
Pros
- 360 Images and Videos are a better way to present
- Ability to place the Modern Options anywhere and easily change the position using Drag and Drop
- No specific Zone/Layout problem
- A complete free ground to play with
- A lot of Zoom In and Zoom Out features for a closer or wider look.
Cons
- Limited Options only 9 available
- Can design only on the Podium/Stage other Real Estate is not efficiently Utilised
- Need to include more options to keep it more informative
- All the Modern WebParts not supported to include on Space
- The People Option can be used only for One Profile/Person at a time & Can’t include the Title/Designation/Description Summary just like how it’s used on a Modern Page
